India to Host MotoGP for the First Time in 2023

India is known for having one of the largest motorcycle markets in the world, so it's no surprise that there are many motorsports fans in the country. In a historic move, the MotoGP series will be heading to India for the first time in September 2023.

The Grand Prix of Bharat, as it is called, will take place from September 22 to 24, 2023, at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida. To celebrate this momentous occasion, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched an online contest where participants have the chance to win tickets to the Grand Prix of Bharat.

The contest is open to all HMSI customers across India, except for those residing in Tamil Nadu. Participants do not need to have any racing experience, but they must own a Honda motorcycle or scooter. To enter, contestants simply need to follow HMSI's social media platforms, post a photo or video with their Honda motorcycle or scooter, and use the hashtags #HondaVirtualBikeParade and #ExciteTheWorld. They must also tag HMSI's official accounts at @HondaRacingIndia, @Honda2WheelerIn, and @BigWingIndia.

The contest started on August 24, 2023, and will run until September 1, 2023. A total of 500 winners will be selected to receive tickets to watch the MotoGP in India, and over 1,000 winners will receive official Honda merchandise.

Yogesh Mathur, Director of Sales and Marketing at HMSI, said, "If Honda does not race, there is no Honda, this was a strong belief of our founder, Soichiro Honda. For us, motorsport is not just an event, it is an emotion that helps us bring out the best for the world. With the #HondaExcitesTheWorld MotoGP™ Contest, we are strengthening the racing culture and inspiring riders all over the country to join our Honda rider community."

If you are in India and would like to participate in the contest, you can follow HMSI's social media accounts and follow the steps mentioned above.
