It’s always a smart idea to bring a set of tools with you on any adventure in case you run into a tricky situation. Whether I'm riding my motorcycle, scooter, bicycle, or driving a truck, I always make sure to have a specific set of tools for basic roadside repairs.
Having a multitool makes this task easier, as they usually have tools for a variety of jobs and come in different shapes and sizes. Take a look at some of the multitools in my collection - they are all worn out from years of use. However, this new multitool from AntDesign, a company specializing in Everyday Carry (EDC) gear, could be the perfect tool for powersports enthusiasts.
At first glance, it may seem like a fancy carabiner, but it's more about functionality than style. The GH Carabiner from AntDesign has 17 functions seamlessly integrated into a compact design measuring around 95mm by 55mm (approximately 4 x 2 inches). Made of Grade 5 titanium, it is lightweight yet strong.
The carabiner features include screwdrivers, a glass breaker, a level, ruler, slider lock, pry bar, bottle opener, fire starter, magnetic storage compartment, utility knife, and file - all in one compact design.
While some features may seem more like novelties than practical tools, in the midst of an adventure, you never know what tool you might need next.
The GH Carabiner is set to be released on Kickstarter on February 28, 2024, with a Super Early Bird price of $109 USD for the titanium version. An aluminum version will also be available, but pricing has not been announced yet.
Once it hits the market, I will definitely be looking forward to getting my hands on one. If it lives up to its promises, it could be a must-have tool for every adventurer.
